Spasoje Ž. Milovanović
Spasoje Ž. Milovanović was born in Kruševac in 1971. He obtained bachelor’s and master’s degree from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, as well as PhD degree with dissertation titled Time in the Beginning of XX Century Serbian Drama, 1900 – 1914.
Milovanović authored the following dramas: The Last Pages, Where Is the Man by the Name of Gill, Sofia Stavric or Death, or the Art of Survival; radio drama: The Naked Seed and children dramas: Puss in Boots, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Life Story of King Kvazibas, Three Fat Germans, School for Mannequins.
Milovanović dramatized a number of productions in Kruševac Theatre, National Theatre in Užice and Belgrade Drama Theatre.
He has written numerous screenplays for music and entertaining programs, as well as for theme programs for Serbian National Broadcasting Corporation, “Pink” Television, “Pobeda” Regional Radio and TV Station in Kruševac and “Plus” Television from Kruševac.
Milovanović received an Assistant Professor’s position for the course “History of Drama and Theatre“ at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Priština.
He authored the following books of poetry: Shadow of Love and Other Poems, Wander Land or Petar Don’t Do It for the Fourth Time and This Is What I Wanted to Say.
Milovanović is an editor of “New Century of Serbian Drama” issued by the publishing company ARTE, Belgrade.
He is a theatre critic of the Third Channel of Radio Belgrade.
He is a member of the International Association of Theatre Critics and Theatrologists and a member of the Management of the Association of Serbian Playwrights.
Milovanović authored monographs Vlastimir Đuza Stojiljković – Theatrical Letters and Tomislav Toma Trifunović – Life in Art, as well as of theatre study About Drama Creativity of Ph.D. Vojislav M. Jovanović – Marambo. As a theatrologist, he took part in numerous festivals and professional symposiums in the country and abroad.
Milovanović received a commendation “Golden Badge of Cultural and Educational Association of Serbia” for his outstanding contribution in culture.
He assumed the post of Manager of the Drama Company of the National Theatre in Belgrade after the post of a dramaturge in the Kruševac Theatre.
